New offices and editing space for the film company Gold Productions in West London. A typical high street space was transformed by opening up the facade to create a reception space that became visually connected to the high street. The entrance is characterised by a gold textured desk which cantilevers over a double height reception space. Meeting spaces and reception desks were given specific visual identity through vibrant surfaces and over-scaling. This process related to the articulation of space and objects in film space where contrast and visual difference is amplified to create depth and layering as images move over time.
The re-organisation provided specialist editing rooms, meeting rooms and a new gallery at basement level. The spatial organisation had to choreograph semi-public display spaces with areas that required a high level of privacy. This developed a series of thresholds that allowed varying states of openness between rooms.
