Shepherds Bush
Masterplan

Shepherds Bush Green is an under-used central London public space surrounded by traffic, poorly lit, difficult to access and simply unloved. We see Shepherds Bush Green as providing a huge opportunity to create a new urban centre in West London that connects, extends and provides new experiences to the existing residents and visitors.

Green space characterises London. In Shepherds Bush the green has become neglected and the surrounding development lacks vision in connecting buildings with public space and transport. We see an opportunity to create a new set of interconnected spaces around the green, creating buildings that have public programmes, that engage locals, are urban in providing street level experience and seek to amplify the visual intensity of city living. New programmes create opportunities for education; from the formal with the BBC University, to the informal, with the download centre and entertainment with a new cinema and connected social spaces in-between. On the northern edge existing retail is re-connected to the Green with a new pedestrianised North Walk running between existing train stations.
